Murder, rape

Police in Grootfontein are investigating the murder of 28-year-old Selly Gamgaes, whose partially clothed body was discovered at a dumping site in Kaap n Bou on Saturday morning.

It is alleged that marks consistent with strangulation were observed on her neck, while evidence at the scene suggests that she may also have been sexually assaulted.

In Okahandja, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped by approximately nine men armed with knives while walking home in Nau-Aib during the early hours of Sunday.
