Israeli airstrikes hit S. Lebanon as drone flies over Beirut suburbs

BEIRUT, July 5– Israeli warplanes struck the outskirts of the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon on Sunday, while Israeli forces conducted demolition explosions and artillery shelling in several border areas, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA).

According to the NNA, Israeli forces carried out a controlled explosion in the town of Al-Tiri and extensive demolition explosions in the towns of Beit Yahoun and Kounine, all in the Bint Jbeil district.
