The Jiu-Jitsu Federation Namibia (JJFN) will make history this weekend when it hosts the country’s first-ever National Gi & No-Gi Trials, a landmark event that marks the beginning of a structured national competition and athlete selection system for the rapidly growing martial art.

The inaugural trials will take place on Saturday, 25 July at Pionierspark Primary School in Windhoek, bringing together 42 athletes from affiliated clubs across Namibia to compete in both Gi and No-Gi divisions. The competition will be conducted under the internationally recognised AJP Tour Ruleset, providing Namibian athletes with an opportunity to compete in a professional environment that aligns with international standards.
