While the Isuzu brand is a household name in Namibia, its latest offering highlights a modern design and greater capability than local buyers are used to.
Known for efficiency, durability and reliability, the bakkie family has received a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh.
Isuzu Motors South Africa’s department executive for product planning, Kevin Fouché, says the 2026 D-Max range adds upgrades that enhance all-round capability, style, comfort and safety.

One of the primary changes is the adoption of the latest-generation 1.9 Ddi engine.
Fouché says this power plant has been further developed for improved throttle response and low-down torque, matched to enhanced efficiency, reduced emissions and better cold-start performance.
The updated D-Max sports a bold, dynamic exterior that improves both aerodynamics and refinement.
