NAC Unveils N$1.3 Million FIDS

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has completed the installation of a state-of-the-art Flight Information Display System (FIDS) at Walvis Bay International Airport, a N$1.3 million investment aimed at enhancing passenger convenience and modernising airport operations.

The new system marks another milestone in the airport’s digital transformation programme, providing travellers with real-time flight information throughout the terminal and improving the overall customer experience. Strategically positioned digital display screens have been installed at key passenger touchpoints, including check-in counters, departure lounges, waiting areas and other service locations. The displays provide up-to-date information on arrivals, departures, boarding times, gate allocations and operational changes, ensuring passengers remain informed throughout their journey.
