Kwaito Lager signs management deal …shelves rebrand after fan backlash

Zambezi artist Given Chilinda, popularly known as Kwaito Lager, has officially signed with Kozani Zani Entertainment in a move expected to elevate his career beyond the independent circuit that shaped his rise in the local music industry. The announcement marks a major turning point for the artist, who has spent more than a decade independently building his name through kwaito-infused music, live performances and visually driven projects. Speaking to VIBEZ , Kwaito Lager said the decision to join a management stable came after recognising the need for stronger professional support.

“Working independently taught me a lot about the music industry and helped me grow as an artist. However, I reached a point where I realised I needed a strong team behind me to take the brand to the next level,” he said. He added that Kozani Zani Entertainment aligned with his long-term vision.
