Futsal return temporarily halted

Futsal’s return in Namibia was temporarily halted, with the outcome of one of the weekend’s NFA Cup Last 16 matches still pending.

Since the league was concluded last October there has been no futsal action so far this year, but the sport was revived with the NFA Cup competition this month.

First and second division sides contested the preliminary rounds, with the winners going through to join the Premier League sides in the Round of 16 matches last weekend.

First division side Maxi FC came up against Premier League heavyweights X Men, and gave a good account of themselves before losing the match 6-4.
