FOR THE LOVE OF SPORT: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah (second from left) on Monday attended the launch in New York of a strategic partnership between the Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah Foundation, founded by Nangula Nelulu Uaandja (second from right), the Queens of the Continent Foundation and the NBA Foundation. The partnership confirms a shared commitment to harnessing the power of sport to create opportunities for young people across Namibia and Africa. Reflecting on her own journey as a former netball and squash player, the president spoke about the values that sport develops beyond the playing field, including discipline, teamwork, self-confidence and a sense of purpose, and why sport remains an important part of Namibia’s development agenda.
