A new funding opportunity for small businesses in Namibia has been launched with successful applicants set to receive grant funding between N$50 000 and N$100 000. The support is aimed at helping micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) grow, create jobs and contribute to the country’s economic development.

With the applications for the first funding cycle opened on 10 June 2026 and will close on 24 July 2026.

Across Namibia, many small business owners start their enterprises using personal savings, family support or small informal loans. In most cases, these businesses begin at a very basic level, operating from homes, street stalls or small rented spaces. Limited access to finance remains one of the biggest challenges for entrepreneurs trying to expand and formalise their operations.
