Naute workers bemoan delayed salaries, working conditions

KEETMANSHOOP – Workers at Naute Irrigation Farm in the //Kharas region have expressed disappointment with their superiors over alleged irregular wage payments and stagnant working conditions at the date warehouse.

Anna-Marie Jossop, who has worked at Naute Irrigation Farm since 2008, said conditions at the farm have remained unchanged for the past 17 years. She said she still earns N$2 700 per month.

Jossop said she fears losing her job for speaking out about the workers’ payments and working conditions.
