Matundu produced a strong showing in the men’s 200m, finishing third in Heat 8 with a time of 21.00 seconds and placing 27th overall. The performance followed his appearance in the men’s 100m heats, where he clocked 10.50 seconds but did not advance.

The sprinter’s Commonwealth Games campaign marked another opportunity to compete against some of the world’s leading athletes while representing Namibia on the international stage.
