Namibia Post Limited (NamPost) announced that it has successfully completed its first transaction under the National Instant Payment Programme (IPP), marking a step in the country’s digital transformation and financial inclusion efforts.

The achievement makes NamPost the first Namibian financial institution to complete an Instant Payment Solution (IPS) transaction and receive certification to go live with Government-to-Person (G2P) payments.
The certification was issued by Instant Payments Namibia (IPN) after NamPost successfully completed all onboarding, testing and certification requirements for the national payment system. NamPost said the successful certification confirms its readiness to begin G2P payments, which will be introduced in carefully planned phases.
