Staff Reporter PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reaffirmed agriculture as a cornerstone of Namibia’s development agenda, highlighting government-supported Green Schemes as key drivers of food security, employment creation and economic self-reliance during her ongoing inspection tour of irrigation projects in the northern regions. The President concluded a series of follow-up visits to Green Schemes in Kavango East, Kavango West, Ohangwena and Omusati regions, where she assessed production levels, infrastructure development and progress since her previous engagements. The tours form part of government efforts under the National Development Plan 6 (NDP6) and the SWAPO Party Manifesto to strengthen agricultural productivity and ensure sustainable food production.
