POLICE are investigating several housebreaking and theft cases reported across Namibia, including an incident in Windhoek in which a woman was allegedly tied up while suspects accessed her banking application and stole items worth more than N$51 000.

According to the weekend crime report, in the Windhoek case, which occurred on Friday, at a house in Eros, it is alleged that male suspects broke into the residence and woke a 44-year-old woman who was sleeping.
The suspects allegedly tied her hands and instructed her to remain quiet. They reportedly took her cellphone, unlocked it and accessed her Nedbank banking application before ransacking the house.
