Namibia has been ranked the third best-performing country in Africa in the 2026 Africa Performance Index published by The Africa Report and Jeune Afrique on 2 June 2026.
This is after recording the biggest jump of any country on the continent, moving from 15th place.
The report ranked Namibia behind only South Africa and Mauritius, awarding the country an overall score of 49.89%. South Africa topped the index with 63.13%, while Mauritius came second with 50.69%.
