KEETMANSHOOP- The revival of netball in southern Namibia received a major boost on Saturday as 13 teams from across different age categories gathered at the J. Stephanus Stadium in Tseiblaagte for the Kasi Netball event.

Speaking to New Era, //Kharas Netball Association Public Relations Officer Victoria Shiindi said the initiative was launched after netball activities in the region had stalled for nearly two years.
“Netball here in the south was dormant. We didn’t have league games for almost two years,” she said. “This is just reviving netball and bringing it back to the south.”
Shiindi added that players from U/14, U/15, U/16 and U/19 divisions participated, alongside adult and male players, while scores of community members turned up to support the event.
