Namibia wins bronze at Olympic qualifiers

Namibia’s women’s national volleyball team capped off an impressive campaign at the CAVB Zone 6 LA 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers in Harare, Zimbabwe, by securing the bronze medal after defeating Malawi 3-1 in the third-place playoff on Saturday.

The Namibians produced a spirited display, combining resilience, tactical discipline and determination to overcome their regional rivals and finish the tournament on a high note. The podium finish marks a significant achievement for the team as it continues to make strides on the international stage and build momentum towards future continental and global competitions.

Head coach Kudakwashe Mutasa praised the players for their commitment and fighting spirit throughout the tournament, describing the bronze medal as a fitting reward for the sacrifices made during months of preparation.
