Guillermo Fisch (18), says career weeks are important events that should be hosted often as they aid young people in discovering their passion, exploring available choices and opportunities, and making informed decisions.

He argues that frequent career weeks would give learners greater exposure to different professions while permitting them to align with their interests with paths, despite the challenges of balancing the events with demanding academic schedules.
“My passion is in engineering; the fact that it opens doors to a wide range of opportunities, especially in the oil and gas sector, which I myself am especially interested in,” said the 12th grader at Duinesig High School. Fisch and his school mates were recently accommodated to an array of career guidance by veteran broadcaster Robin Tyson and TV anchor John Ikondja at Walvis Bay.
