Namibia and China have reaffirmed their longstanding defence partnership, pledging to deepen military cooperation, capacity building and strategic collaboration as both countries navigate an increasingly complex global security environment.

The commitment was made during celebrations marking the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Windhoek on Thursday.
Chinese Defence Attaché, Colonel Li Shujun said the relationship between the People’s Liberation Army and the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) has continued to strengthen through practical cooperation, military exchanges and training programmes.
