Deputy minister of sport Dino Ballotti pledged that Nkurenkuru’s sports complex would be completed within this year.

He was speaking at KK United’s awards ceremony in Nkurenkuru on Saturday, where the club honoured players and staff for winning promotion to the Namibia Premier Football League.
“So now let’s talk about the stadium quickly. I’m not happy that we don’t yet have grass at the field or at the stadium. I gave the leadership of the club my full commitment that if there’s one priority currently, even above our Independence Stadium, that one priority is that we make sure that the Nkurenkuru stadium gets completed this year. That is the number one priority.”
