GOBABIS – The Swakop Uranium Foundation has availed approximately N$500 000 towards improving facilities at the Epako Old Age Home and the Light for the Children Kindergarten in Gobabis.
Omaheke region governor Pijoo Nganate, regional and local leaders, representatives of Swakop Uranium, trustees of Swakop Uranium Foundation and members of the beneficiary institutions gathered for the official handover on Monday.
The upgrades at the Epako Old Age Home include the provision of a television, kitchen equipment, pharmacy shelving, a laundry machine and lounge furniture. The facility also underwent interior and exterior repainting, as well as fumigation to eliminate pest infestation.
