BEIJING, June 26 — China is injecting confidence and vitality into the world economy by emerging as a new shopping destination for global tourists, according to a think tank report released Friday.

Titled “Shopping in China: Sharing New Opportunities of Open Development,” the report was released by the Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with Xinhua News Agency.
While global economic growth remains sluggish and various risks and challenges like protectionism and unilateralism mount, China remains committed to pursuing innovation-driven and high-quality development, acting in openness and cooperation, the report said, citing upgraded policies in visa-free entry and tax refunds upon departure.
