Welwitschia Invitational XV teach Zambia a lesson

The Welwitschia Invitational XV defeated Zambia 71-12 during a friendly match on Sunday at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium.

The Welwitschia Invitational XV powered home ten tries in a match they led 33-5 at half time in the match which served as a development and talent-identifying fixture.

Three of the home side’s ten tries were scored by 21-year-old debutant, Jaylon Carew, who plays for Wanderers Rugby Club.

Carew, who came on as a substitute in the second half, described the experience as phenomenal.
