ONGWEDIVA – The Namibia Bus and Taxi Association (Nabta) has resumed full operations after resolving a compliance issue with the Office of the Labour Commissioner.
Nabta’s secretary general Pendapala Nakathingo confirmed that the association was reinstated after successfully submitting its outstanding financial report last month.
The association was among seven trade unions and employers’ organisations deregistered by the Labour Commissioner last year for failing to submit their annual returns.
In a statement issued on 9 June 2026, Nabta announced its plan to launch a Smart Taxi Association Platform (STAP) as part of its return.
