The Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) has entered a new era of global influence following the conclusion of Namibian legal and energy expert Shakwa Nyambe’s tenure as President.
Nyambe officially handed over the reins after steering the organisation through one of the most active periods of growth, expansion, and structural transformation in its history.
During a board meeting held on 1 June in New Orleans, Louisiana, a new board of directors for the 2026-2027 term was elected. At this meeting, Nyambe officially transferred the presidency of AIEN to Lauren Wilder.
