Namibia finishes Commonwealth Games with three boxing medals

NAMIBIA concluded the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a three-medal haul, securing one silver and two bronze medals in boxing to finish 29th overall among 74 competing Commonwealth teams.

The Games, held from 23 July to 2 August 2026 in Glasgow, featured 2,729 athletes competing across 10 sports. Namibia sent a team of 23 athletes, comprising 14 men and eight women, who competed in five sporting codes.

Namibia’s three medals all came from the boxing ring, with Tryagain Morning Ndevelo claiming silver in the men’s 60kg division, while Philip Pumulo Haoseb and Mischa Monique Araes won bronze medals in the men’s 55kg and women’s 51kg divisions respectively.
