ONGWEDIVA – With more than 1 800 applications at hand, only 470 exhibitors have managed to secure space at this year’s Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, highlighting the growing demand for exhibition space at the annual event.
The trade fair is scheduled to take place from 21 to 29 August 2026, with organisers saying the shortage of space continues to limit the number of businesses that can participate despite the growing interest in the event.

Rebekka Hidulika, a member of the organising committee, said the high number of applications demonstrates the growing interest in the trade fair, but the available space is not enough to accommodate everyone.
“We realised that many people are interested in coming to exhibit, but the town is running short of exhibition space,” Hidulika said.
She said the recurring shortage has encouraged organisers to look beyond the annual event and consider ways of expanding the trade fair grounds into a facility that remains active throughout the year.
