Namibia Post Limited (NamPost) has announced new Board of Directors appointed by Emma Theofelus, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, with effect from 1 August 2026. The Board has been appointed for a three-year term, ending on 31 July 2029.
The new Board is comprised of Simeon Amunkete (chairperson); Fabian Shaanika (Deputy Chairperson); Lydia Nalishe Nghaamwa (Director); Naftaline Meth Tjitemisa (Director); and Petrus Pendukeni Hiwilepo (Director).

Nampost stated that the reappointment of Amunkete and Shaanika provides continuity in the organisation’s governance, institutional oversight and strategic direction. NamPost Chief Executive Officer, Willem Mouton, welcomed the appointment and expressed appreciation to Theofelus for entrusting the incoming board with this important responsibility. He said management looks forward to working closely with the board, under its guidance and oversight, to advance NamPost’s mandate and strategic priorities. Chairperson, Amunkete, affirmed the board’s commitment to providing sound governance, effective oversight and strategic guidance in support of NamPost’s mandate and long-term sustainability.
