The Head of the Upstream Petroleum Unit in the Office of the Presidency, Kornelia Shilunga, has called for greater participation of Namibian businesses in the country’s emerging oil and gas industry, saying local enterprises need practical support to access opportunities in the sector.

Shilunga, according to a statement on Tuesday, made the call during a meeting with a delegation from the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference (NOGC) on Monday, ahead of the conference scheduled for 18 to 20 August in Windhoek.
