Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) president and member of the National Assembl, McHenry Venaani has urged President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to immediately procure 1,000 high-yield dairy cattle and revive Namibia’s dairy industry, saying the country can no longer afford to leave strategic agricultural investments idle.

In an open letter addressed to the President on Tuesday, Venaani called for the launch of a comprehensive national dairy revitalisation programme centred on the revival of the Vhungu Vhungu Dairy Farm in the Kavango East Region.
“This letter serves as an urgent call upon your Government to immediately procure 1,000 high-yield dairy cattle and launch a comprehensive national dairy revitalisation programme, beginning with the revival of the Vhungu Vhungu Dairy Farm in the Kavango East Region,” Venaani wrote.
