WALVIS BAY – From the outside, Jonah Home looks like any other ordinary house in Walvis Bay.

However, the quiet outside the home serves as a place of safety for many children who were taken from unsafe situations and given stability.

On a cold Monday morning, New Era visited Jonah Home to see what life is like inside the house.

Director Siphokazi “Kazie” Kangowa waited outside after returning from the school run. She arrived with a box of fresh bread for the children later.

As we entered the house, the sound of her voice drew about five babies, who rushed towards her, their tiny arms outstretched, waiting to be picked up.

She greeted each child warmly before introducing them, one by one, to this journalist.
