BUKALO – President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reaffirmed the strategic importance of Namibia’s Zambezi region for the country’s agricultural future, describing it as the country’s food basket and calling for greater investment in agriculture and agro-processing to drive economic growth and ensure food security.

Speaking at the Masubia Cultural Festival in Bukalo on Saturday, the President said the region holds a central place in Namibia’s development agenda because of its agricultural potential, natural resources and tourism assets.
“The Zambezi region plays a significant and strategic role in the development of our nation,” said the Head of State.
