Young Namibians Encouraged to Prepare for Oil and Gas Opportunities

More than 700 delegates gathered at the Walvis Bay Town Hall last week for the third Youth in Oil & Gas Summit, where discussions focused on preparing young Namibians to take part in the country’s emerging energy sector.

The summit, held from 23 to 25 July under the theme “From Discovery to Development: Talent, Capital and Local Content,” brought together students, young professionals, industry leaders, investors and organisations involved in Namibia’s oil and gas sector. The three-day event focused on skills development, career opportunities, business growth, financial awareness and how young people can position themselves to benefit from future opportunities.
