65% Ohangwena boys dropout

ONGWEDIVA – First Gentleman Epaphras Ndaitwah has urged boys in the Ohangwena region to remain in school and take their education seriously.

This is as new figures show that boys accounted for 65% of about 1 750 learners who dropped out of school last year.

Speaking in Eenhana over the weekend at an event held under the theme ‘Empowering the Boy Child for a Resilient and Equitable Future’, Ndaitwah urged boys from schools across the region to make full use of available educational opportunities. He warned that dropping out could limit their prospects and expose them to social challenges.
