Many African women naturally have coily or kinky hair, which often requires specialised care because it is more prone to dryness and breakage. For many women, finding products that suit their natural hair can be a challenge.

Windhoek based entrepreneur Emily Kandanga-Erastus saw that challenge as an opportunity to create a business that helps women better understand and care for their hair.

Kandanga-Erastus is the founder and chief executive officer of Namira Haircare, a natural haircare brand specialising in products for wavy and afro-textured hair.
