KIGALI, July 11– Rwanda’s urban consumer price index (CPI), a key measure of inflation, increased by 13.6 percent year on year in June 2026, according to data released Friday by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR).

The index showed that food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 7.5 percent, alcoholic beverages tobacco and narcotics rose by 13 percent, while housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels climbed 20.5 percent.
