For many residents of Windhoek’s informal settlements, life in the capital remains far from what they imagined when they left rural Namibia in search of better opportunities.

For elderly residents, this daily responsibility has become increasingly difficult, with some fearing they may never experience the comfort and dignity of having running water inside their homes.
