THE Governor of the Omaheke Region, Pijoo Nganate, has described the proposed uranium mining project near Leonardville as a significant economic opportunity for the region and urged the community to consider its potential benefits amid ongoing challenges of poverty and unemployment.
“With regard to uranium mining, Headspring Investment is currently exploring an in-situ leach mining method near Leonardville, presenting significant potential economic and employment opportunities for the Omaheke Region,” Nganate said.
