KATIMA MULILO – The regional police commander of the Zambezi region, Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, has appealed to communities to exercise extreme caution when crossing rivers in canoes, following the drowning of a 31-year-old man in the Simisune River near Siboli village.

The incident occurred on Friday at around 08h00, when three men were crossing the river in a canoe. According to police, the canoe capsized, throwing all three occupants into the water.
