GOBABIS – The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), kicked off its community outreach programme on the envisaged electronic Identity Document (e-ID) in the Omaheke region on Monday.

The e-IDs, which are set for implementation in September this year, were approved by Cabinet in 2023 in accordance with the Namibian government’s digitisation policy.
