KEETMANSHOOP – Newly elected Keetmanshoop mayor Emrico Blaauw says he is eager to use his position to drive change in the southern town, with a key focus on reducing overcrowding in informal settlements through the Informal Settlement Upgrade Programme.
“It is an ecstatic feeling to finally have a chance to be in a position where I can drive the change I have advocated for as a civil society-oriented community activist,” Blaauw said.
