THE Solewant Group of companies, which is among the several companies slated to participate in the oil and gas conference, has encouraged Namibian policymakers to stand on its shoulders so that they may see further, in terms of experience in the oil and gas sector.
The company, which said it seeks to invest about US$120 million in building the vast underwater pipe infrastructure that requires highly specialised technology, stated that it is in talks with the Namibian Government to establish a factory locally in Namibia that would specialise in oil and gas infrastructure, as well as facilitating the special coatings and paint needed for pipelines that are in highly corrosive and high-pressure systems such as the ocean. The company stated that it is interested in capacitating engineers in Namibia with regard to offshore petroleum infrastructure.
Solewant Group, which is one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous oil and gas engineering and industrial solutions companies, will host a high-level Namibia Roadshow and Press Briefing on Monday, August 17, 2026, ahead of the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition (NOGC) 2026.

The Roadshow comes shortly after the successful commissioning of Solewant Group’s Solewant Specialty Protective Coatings & Paints (SSPC) manufacturing facility in Nigeria and the unveiling of its new 11-product range of industrial coatings and paints.
The Namibia Roadshow will provide the company with an opportunity to introduce these products and capabilities to the Namibian market while exploring opportunities for partnerships, investment, local participation and technology collaboration.
The Solewant Group Namibia Roadshow is expected to bring together representatives from energy companies, oil and gas operators, investors, commercial banks, development finance institutions, government regulators, service companies, infrastructure providers and the media from Namibia, Nigeria and other African markets.
Solewant Group’s expansion into Namibia forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen African industrial capacity and provide world-class engineering and manufacturing solutions within the continent.
With more than two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Solewant has developed capabilities spanning steel pipe manufacturing, engineering and fabrication, pipeline coatings, corrosion protection, specialty protective coatings, paints and technical training.
Its industrial operations in Nigeria include a large-scale pipe coating and fabrication complex, while its new SSPC & Paints facility represents a further step towards expanding Africa’s capacity to manufacture specialised industrial products locally.
The company’s participation in Namibia reflects its ambition to move beyond traditional service delivery and establish strategic partnerships across Africa’s emerging energy markets.
