Rundu will make history on 17 October when it hosts its first-ever professional boxing event, as the MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy stages a WBO Title Defense Bonanza headlined by Martin “Alligator” Mukungu, Fillipus “Energy” Nghitumbwa and Mateus “The Beast” Heita.

The event was officially announced yesterday at a press conference in Windhoek by the academy’s promoter and founder, Nestor Tobias.
The main attraction will see Kavango-born Mukungu defend his WBO Africa Junior Lightweight title against South Africa’s Lucky Mnyebane.
