The Erongo regional electricity distributor has invested nearly N$800 million in electricity infrastructure over the past decade as it expands network capacity and prepares to develop a 20MW solar power plant.
Speaking during her recent state of the region address, Erongo governor Natalia /Goagoses said the utility has allocated a further N$152 million for electricity network expansion during the 2025/26 financial year, with projects planned for Swakopmund, Arandis, Karibib and Uis.
