Sankwasa washes hands in /Khomanin vote

Rural and Urban Development minister James Sankwasa has distanced himself from the recent vote by members of the /Khomanin Traditional Community to remove Gaos Julienne Gawanas.

Sankwasa, whose ministry oversees traditional authorities, said his office did not sanction the election.

The minister is also not aware of the person or officials appointed to oversee the vote, raising questions about the credibility and independence of the process.
