Branded under the theme “Empowering Namibian Youth for a Sustainable Future,” the awards recognise the important role that young people play in shaping Namibia’s future through innovation, environmental stewardship, entrepreneurship, research and community action.

Nominations for the awards are open to individuals, organisations, institutions and communities who make outstanding contributions to sustainable development.

The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Hon Indileni Daniel invited Namibians across the board to nominate deserving individuals, projects and enterprises that protect the environment, and help social development while doing so in a framework of responsible growth.
