Namibia joined over 100 nations and millions of mourners in paying its final respects to Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in joint Israeli-US military strikes on Iran in late February.
Khamenei’s body is currently lying in state at the Grand Mosalla in Tehran, ahead of his burial in his hometown of Mashhad next Thursday.

The state ceremonies marked the beginning of a week-long memorial program across Iran following the death of Khamenei.
The Namibian government dispatched a high-level delegation to Tehran to attend the state funeral ceremonies of the late Supreme Leader. The delegation was led by Charles Mubita, the Minister in the Presidency and member of the National Assembly and former Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Peya Mushelenga.
