REHOBOTH – The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture said the original Rehoboth School of Arts closed in 2020 after a breakdown in its partnership with founder Andrew Hermanus van Wyk over the institution’s future operational model.

The Ministry’s response follows a New Era article published in June, which highlighted the decline of the once-thriving arts institution and raised concerns among community members about reduced access to arts education in Rehoboth.
