The Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN) says assets held through its investment structures have grown to more than N$900 million. The union revealed the figure during a media engagement in Windhoek this week, where it outlined its investment activities and recent interventions to protect jobs in the mining sector. It says the assets are held through the Namibia Mineworkers Trust (Namitvest) and the Namibia Mineworkers Investment Holdings Company (Nammic), which invest on behalf of members and beneficiaries.
