THE search for a new Prosecutor-General (PG) is still ongoing as the previously shortlisted candidates did not pass the written assessment part of the process, prompting the Judicial Commission to launch a new recruitment process – but this time, the written assessment will be conducted on an open-book basis.
This was announced by Vikitoria Hango, the Commission’s Deputy Director of Public Relations. Hango explained that after the previous application process ended on 16 January 2026, the Commission identified eight applicants who met the constitutional requirements for appointment, as well as the requirements specified in the vacancy advertisement.
